"OK, I'll Go..."

My first trip back after the 13 year drought meant I'd have to split my Disneyland time with what I had been referring to as "the imposter park."  I didn't have anything in particular against this new-to-me park.  I'd just never had a desire to visit Disney California Adventure. (Which will be referred to as DCA from here on out.)  I've always been a Disneyland fan, but I thought everything was just fine the way it was. I loved walking through that big old parking lot. (Not so much at 1am after 15 hours in the park, dragging my Disneyland feet back to Eden Roc.) I'm just not one that is big on change when I like things as is. I could have easily stayed at Disneyland our whole trip and never hopped.  But...the rest of my family felt differently.

So we hopped over to DCA for the first time during the afternoon of our 2nd day.

This is a picture I took of Mickey Mouse as he copied what my then-3-year-old son was doing.  He wasn't a fan of meeting Mickey and immediately covered his eyes.  Mickey's handler told the Photopass Photographer, "Let me know if that wins photo of the day," as the photographer snapped a picture of Mickey and my son.
